Shirley and Kenneth McNeal celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 10 with their immediate family.
Mr. McNeal served three years as a paratrooper in Germany and retired after 421⁄2 years as a conductor from Union Pacific Railroad. His hometown is Hannibal.
Mrs. McNeal (nee White) worked as a secretary and hostess and in real estate and modeling. She was a hostess for the dedication of the Gateway Arch. Her hometown is Salem.
They are parents of Shawn (Jeannie) McNeal and Tracy (Brian) Jones. The couple have six grandchildren, Lashawna (Joe) Hipperson, Samantha McNeal, Cassidy McNeal, Chelsea Jones, Brenden Jones and Chase Jones and five little angels in heaven.
They have traveled throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Greece and all the Caribbean Islands.
