Theiss Road — 433 yards north of Little Rock Road in south county — will be closed for two weeks beginning Monday, Aug, 1.
A St. Louis County contractor will repair a concrete box culvert bridge on Theiss, just north of Eli Drive. The span was damaged by storm debris unleashed by the region’s heavy, late December rains.
Gershenson Construction will perform the rehabilitation work under a $28,780 contract with St. Louis County.
Roughly 3,800 motorists use the bridge on an average weekday.
Barring a spate of work-delaying severe weather, such as several consecutive days of heavy rain, the bridge is scheduled to reopen Aug. 15.
