School districts should implement metal detectors, writes reader

To the editor:

Our three grandchildren graduated from Cleveland Jr. Naval Academy, a St. Louis public magnet school.

Everyday everyone walked through the metal detector at the front door. No one got soaked waiting in line out front. No one froze to death in that line in the winter, but everyone was safe in the school.

I will gladly make a donation to Bayless and Affton School Districts for metal detectors to keep students safe.

We don’t need more “S.R.O.s” in the schools, we need metal detectors!
