School board accepting applications to fill vacancy

The Lindbergh Board of Education is accepting applications to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Janine Fabick.

Fabick first was elected to the Board of Education in 2006 and was re-elected in 2009.

Residents interested in applying are asked to submit a letter to the board secretary stating their qualifications and their reasons for wishing to serve.

To be eligible, candidates must be U.S. citizens who are 24 years old or older and district taxpayers who have resided in Missouri one year preceding their appointment.

The board also requests information about any family member or relative currently employed by the district, completion of a short questionnaire — available at

The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Monday, June 14. Interviews will be conducted by the Board of Education on Thursday, July 8. The appointment will be made by the board on July 13.
