To the editor:

Marie Davis is the most qualified candidate for Ward 2 alderman based on her over 20 years of community service to nonprofit organizations, business ownership  and the Sunset Hills/Crestwood Chamber of Commerce.

I originally was introduced to Marie in her work as the executive director of the local office of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), where she helped raise funds to benefit thousands of children with diabetes.  

Recently, she has served as the president and temporary executive director of the Chamber of Commerce, where she worked tirelessly to bring businesses together during COVID and help grow the city’s businesses to serve their customers, including the residents of Ward 2. 

Finally, as the chairman of the Sunset Hills Conservation Foundation, I invited Marie to join our Board of Directors and to serve as secretary of the board.  She truly cares about the our city’s parks. She is always coming up with ideas to help its residents enjoy our parks and historical features.  

She is a longtime homeowner in Ward 2 who is directly concerned with helping the residents of our ward maintain their homes. Because of her executive service, as well as her deep love of the community, I heartily encourage all residents of Ward 2 to vote for Marie Davis for Ward 2 alderman.
