Roger C. Anderson died Aug. 9.

Mr. Anderson was a longtime Crestwood resident. He was born in 1928 and raised in Norfolk, Neb.

From 1946 to 1948, he proudly served as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. After his military service, he worked for the McKesson Corp. in sales and eventually became general manager in 1969 of its Peter Hauptmann wholesale liquor division in St. Louis.

After retiring, he continued to stay active in the wholesale liquor business until his death.

In 1994, Mr. Anderson started Boeuf Creek Angus Co. along with his son, Mark Anderson and grandsons, Matt Anderson and Ben Anderson. He was actively involved in the business of raising and selling registered Angus cattle until his passing.

Survivors include his wife, Norma J. Anderson (nee Hoefs); sons and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Beverly Anderson and Mark Anderson; four grandchildren; two nieces; and dear friend, Ray Hilkie.

Services and visitation were at Kutis Affton Chapel. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery.
