Robert E. Murphy, 84, died Sept. 6.

Born in St. Louis, Mr. Murphy resided in Lemay.

Mr. Murphy was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Purple Heart Association and the 14th Armored Association.

Survivors include his wife, Norma J. Murphy (nee Firestone); son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Suzanne Murphy; daughters, Mary Murphy, Patricia Murphy, Elizabeth Murphy and Barbara Murphy; and three grandchildren.

Services were conducted at John L. Zieg-enhein and Sons, south county. Visitation was at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons, south county. Burial was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
