Born in S. Louis, Mr. Bergfeld resided in Valley Park. He was president and the owner/operator of Multimedia Systems.

Survivors include his wife, Karen S. Bergfeld (nee Biester); daughter, Amy C. Bergfeld; son, Christopher R. Bergfeld; mother, Esther M. Bergfeld (nee Goodman); sister and brother-in-law, Susan and John Wegener; and father-in-law, Melvin H. Biester. Mr. Bergfeld was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer L. Bergfeld; father, Elmer W. Bergfeld; and mother-in-law, Lorene M. Biester.

Services were conducted at Sacred Heart Church. Visitation was at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons, south county. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery.
