Retired teacher weighs in on Lindbergh election

To the editor:

My family has lived in the Lindbergh community since 1962, and I was a classroom teacher of American government, world and American history, economics, psychology, sociology and a quasi-administrator for 40 years.

As a resident, and for me, the April 4 Lindbergh Board of Education election appears to involve partisan political issues and vested interests, neither of which are in the best interests of students, since their education and welfare are to be a first priority. There are four components involved in the success of Lindbergh Schools — community, home, professionals and — most important — the students.

So be more informed about each candidate’s financial views and philosophy for the future of Lindbergh before you vote.
