For the Call

Among those in attendance at the JB Blast last Friday were 5th District Councilman Pat Dolan and St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch, who are both up for re-election today in the Democratic primary. Dolan faces challenger Lisa Clancy, and McCulloch faces challenger Wesley Bell.

County Executive Steve Stenger introduced both of the elected officials to the crowd, as well as U.S. Army veteran Cpl. Alvin Stern, 95.

“Cpl. Stern shipped out when he was 19 years old from right here in Jefferson Barracks,” Stenger said. “Cpl. Stern earned several medals, including the Bronze Star for meritorious service in combat from June 3, 1944, to May 2, 1945, in the Italian campaign.”

Stern led the JB Blast crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance after being recognized.
