Reinhold T. Henningsen died Jan. 7 at Manor Grove Nursing Home in Kirkwood.
He was long known to south county residents as the Lawnboy Man because he would buy, sell and repair only Lawn-boy lawnmowers at his Crestwood residence.
Mr. Henningsen was the beloved husband of the late Jackie Henningsen (nee Kleffmann); dear father of John (Britt) Henningsen and Julie (Steve) Herrmann; grandfather of Sophie and Hope Henningsen and Beth and Ben Herrmann; and brother of Walter and John Henningsen.
He was an avid pool player who had a long friendship with the famous billiards player Minnesota Fats, as well as friendships with several Hollywood celebrities whom he met during his years working for Crane Corp. in St. Louis. In his retirement, Mr. Henningsen operated a lawn and landscaping business in south St. Louis.
Visitation and services took place at Kutis Affton Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
