Reception today for retirees

Mehlville High School will bid fare-well to a very special group of seven retiring educators with a reception at 2:30 p.m. today — May 22 — in the school library, 3200 Lemay Ferry Road.

Organizers of the event invite all present and former students, teachers, ad-ministrators, parents and friends to stop by and reminisce with the retirees.

Combined, the seven teachers have given 209 years of service to the Mehl-ville School District.

Jim Mueller (Physical Education) and Linda Sprehe (Business Education) both have reached the 35-year mark in service to the district.

George Gansner (Foreign Language) and Don Fendler (Industrial Arts) are close behind as each has served 34 years with the district.

Tom Abell (Business Education) has served the district for 30 years. Sandra Wright (Instructional Technology) has been with Mehlville 26 years and Willa Mollet (Social Studies) retires after 15 years in Mehlville.

Mehlville High School’s last day of school this year will be Friday, June 6. Graduation ceremonies will be conducted at the school Wednesday, June 4.
