Reader will pay the postage herself to receive Mehlville Messenger

Imagine my surprise when I read that the Mehlville Messenger is still in circulation.

I had assumed that the school district quit mailing the Messenger to save money. I thought the board would like to know that I have not seen the Messenger since the last mailing.

Why, do you ask? I rarely see my Journal. I know that it is delivered at the end of my driveway every week, and every week I go down my driveway to get it and it is gone.

In the 10 years that I have lived here, I have only been able to read a total of three Journals. Technically it is four, but since the fourth one was covered with ice for a few days, it was unreadable, and therefore does not count.

For some reason, somebody out there thinks I do not want the Journal.

Maybe it is because I live on a busy street or that I live so close to a high school. I honestly don’t know.

In closing, I would like to tell school-board members that the Mehlville Messenger does not reach everyone as they have thought and to please mail it to me. I will even pay for the postage myself.
