To the editor:
A special thank you to the Mehlville Fire Protection District crews on Ambulance 1727 and Engine 1722.
At about 8:30 a.m. May 17, I had uncontrolled bleeding from a varicose vein in my right leg. Both crews responded and did a terrific job.
While the paramedics stopped the bleeding, the fire crew cleaned up both the wheelchair ramp and driveway. I was then transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center.
The crew made what could have been a harrowing experience enjoyable.
I am proud to be a citizen of the Mehlville Fire Protection District. Their dedication and knowledge is much appreciated.
I am thankful for the many hours of training they take.
