Reader offers thoughts on next week’s election

To the editor:

No matter which presidential candidate is elected, there will be a recession in 2017.

The Federal Reserve has propped up the Obama economy by keeping interest rates at unsustainable low levels for the past eight years. When the rates are increased after the election, the stock market and the economy will reel.

Looking at population voting trends rather than poll numbers, right now Donald Trump is almost a 90-percent favorite to win on Nov. 8. Just like 2008 and 2012, the liberal media have done an excellent job of hiding the shortcomings of the Democratic nominee. Look at what we have had for the past eight years.

In 1968, “The Peter Principle” was published. Basically, it stated that in hierarchies, people rise to their level of incompetence. Hillary Clinton proved that as secretary of state. She should rise no further.

I hope political campaigns will be added to the no-call list in the near future.
