To the editor:
I am puzzled by two comments presented in Shirley Preuss’ letter of Dec. 9.
First, she refers to the “millions of Chris-tians in another country” who prayed for Americans to vote for Bush.
What country is this?
It is well known that in the vast majority of civilized nations, Bush is reviled as an unscrupulous warmonger.
People throughout the world — as well as 55 million Americans — were astonished and disappointed by the outcome of the election.
Second, what makes Ms. Preuss think that Bush’s election was an act of God? If there was some supernatural power involved, it certainly didn’t come from heaven.
