Lindbergh Schools has earned $97,772.77 in rebates since 2006 by using a purchasing card to pay for district expenditures.
Mike Parnell, associate executive director of member relations for Missouri School Boards’ Association, presented the district with a rebate check totaling $14,306.02 for fiscal 2017 during the Nov. 14 Board of Education meeting.
The MSBA Payment Solutions P-Card program saves school districts money by improving controls over spending and reducing paperwork for staff.
In addition, districts such as Lindbergh receive a rebate based on the purchases they make using the card.
“Lindbergh Schools is to be commended for taking advantage of the P-Card program to earn rebates on school district purchases so that more resources can be spent in the classroom,” MSBA Executive Director Melissa Randol said in a statement.
