Pupils offer Tsunami relief

Bayless High School and Bayless In-termediate School raised more than $1,600 for the American Red Cross Tsunami Relief Effort.

Students at the high school collected roughly $400 at lunch hours during a two-week period, a news release stated, while intermediate pupils collected coins and competed among the grade levels to raise more than $1,200.

Red Cross representative Nicole Holtgrefe visited the high school Jan. 31 to accept the donation and explain several relief efforts conducted by the Red Cross as well as inform students what to do during a natural disaster.
