Pundit’s letters humorous and mean no harm

To the editor:

In response to Heidi Vogel’s letter objecting to the writing of Harvey Meyer, I think many of us know that most of Harvey’s letters are rather humorous and mean no harm.

I would like to congratulate Heidi on be-ing a regular Bible reader.

She is absolutely correct when she states that Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

However, I disagree with Heidi when she says that you can’t get to God by eating Communion wafers and going to church every day.

If she opens her Bible to John 6: 53-56 she would read, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.”
