Public meetings set on proposed JB Cemetery expansion into Sylvan Springs Park

At the request of the County Executive Steve Stenger, St. Louis County will conduct two public meetings to garner public opinion on the possible expansion of Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery into a 38-acre section of Sylvan Springs County Park.

Stenger requested these meetings be held in Lemay, not in Clayton, to ensure the greatest possible number of residents can attend and be heard on this issue, according to a news release.

The public meetings will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, and Thursday, July 23, at The Pavilion at Lemay, 305 Gregg Road.

Presentations will be given by both the Veterans Administration and the St. Louis County Department of Parks and Recreation. County officials welcome public input on this topic. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. each day.

The county will also have an online poll to gather public comments. The link to the survey is https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MT63YK3
