Public hearing slated on trash-transfer station

The St. Louis County Planning Commission next week will conduct a public hearing on a Fred Weber Inc. subsidiary’s proposal to construct a trash-transfer station at 4200 Baumgartner Road.

Residents will be able to speak during the public hearing at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, in the County Council Chambers in the Administration Building, 41 S. Central Ave., Clayton.

F.W. Disposal South has until Jan. 30 to submit at least 40 corrections and clarifications to its Oakville proposal and respond to a recent Department of Health comment letter. If the subsidiary does not respond to the letter by the Jan. 30 deadline, the department could have grounds for denying the application, according to a health department official.

However, the Planning Commission’s hearing still is scheduled for next week.
