Public hearing for Kennerly Road rehabilitation project set June 5

A public hearing regarding the Kennerly Road rehabilitation project is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the Sunset Hills City Hall, 3939 S. Lindbergh Blvd.

The Kennerly Road Rehabilitation project spans from Weber Hill Road to Sappington Road, according to city officials. The project will include: pavement widening, roadway surface rehabilitation, storm sewer improvements, accommodations for bicycle users, minor sidewalk extension on the southern part of the project and safety improvements, such as guard rails and rumble stripes

Maps, plats, environmental documentation and other detailed information prepared by the city and its engineering consultant, Cochran, will be available at the Public Works Department, 3939 S. Lindbergh Blvd.

Written statements and exhibits, as well as oral statements, will be received at the hearing and included in the public hearing transcript if received within 10 days after the date of the hearing.

Tentative schedules for right-of-way acquisition and construction will be discussed at the hearing.

City officials are seeking comments on the following aspects of the project:

• The economic and social effects of such location and design.

• Its impact of the environment and its consistency with the goals.

• Objectives of the community.
