Process to fill board vacancy big step forward in restoring confidence

To the editor:

As it was first announced that the Mehlville Board of Education was going to choose three or four people out of the entire candidacy to fill Mr. Micheal Ocello’s vacancy it did not seem like that should be the avenue to take considering the past history of the board.

Everyone filing for that open position is entitled to express his or her view points. It presented a big step forward in bringing confidence back to the board when it was decided to interview all the candidates.

I would like to commend the Mehlville School District’s Board of Education for its decision and its time in interviewing all the candidates. I would also like to congratulate Mr. Ron Fedorchak on his selection to the board.

It was an interesting interview and I am looking forward to next April.
