Probst named AD at Lutheran High School South

Lutheran High School South has named Mark Probst as its new athletics director.

Probst has a background in sales and marketing along with years of experience and leadership in St. Louis area athletics, according to a news release.

He comes to Lutheran South after two years as sales manager at Liturgical Publications of St. Louis and nine years as sales representative at CFI Sales.

Probst has been a basketball official for the Missouri State High School Activities Association for 15 years and was recognized as the Missouri Basketball Official of the Year in 1998.

Probst is the scheduler for game officials in high school football and basketball in the metropolitan area, according to the news release.

Since 2000, he has served as the basketball rules interpreter for the St. Louis area and he represents St. Louis area officials in all sports on the MSHSAA Official Advisory Board.

In his role as sports associate with Catholic Youth Council, he plans and executes clinics, training programs, rules review meetings, as well as scheduling and supervising officials.

Probst has a degree in marketing from St. Louis University. He replaces Stephen Eggold, athletic director/facilities manager at Lutheran South for nine years. Eggold is pursuing a career in real estate.
