Parents interested in the Program for Ex-ceptionally Gifted Students, or PEGS, can attend special PEGS Previews from 9 to 10:30 a.m. today, Feb. 10, and Thursday — Feb. 24, at Truman Elementary School, 12225 Eddie and Park Road.
Michelle Ryder, PEGS administrator, will offer an overview of the program, answer questions and give a tour of facilities, a Lindbergh School District news release stated.
Through an individualized plan for in-struction, this program addresses each student’s unique needs for an accelerated, challenging, academic program and offers an organized system for attaining social and emotional growth skills, the release stated.
Parents may obtain an application packet from their home school district’s superintendent’s office. The application deadline for submitting a PEGS application for the 2005-2006 school year is March 1.
