An enchanting holiday house tour will help herald the season Friday, Dec. 3.

The Lindbergh High School Mothers’ Club’s “Polar Magic” tour will feature five district homes that are sure to delight with their extensive holiday decorations.

Highlights of the tour include the home of a self-confessed “Christmas-aholic” who has decorated her 100-year-old home with Christmas in every corner. The dining room tree features a collection of Gladys Boaldt ornaments, the same ornaments used at the White House. Other trees include a Mary Engelbreit tree, Christopher Radko tree, a special tree filled with hand-stitched ornaments, a dog tree and a Department 56 Kringles Tree.

Another home will feature 25 trees, including one filled with 1,000 glass ornaments, many of which are more than 50 years old. A 7-foot-tall handmade turkey-feather tree is a one-of-a-kind addition to the tour.

Participants will also enjoy a 1929 tudor style house that originally was built by a brewmaster at Anheuser-Busch for his daughter. The home features a Victorian-style tree decorated with handmade ornaments, while wreaths featuring Christo-pher Radko ornaments adorn the stairway.

Two new homes are featured, including one at Tapawingo that showcases an extensive collection of antiques.

The tour runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes a choice of brunch or lunch at Sunset Country Club and an extensive holiday boutique.
