PHOTOS: Mehlville School District provides grab-and-go meals

The Mehlville School District began providing free meals for students during the COVID-19 shutdown March 23.

Free meals are available for pick-up Mondays through Fridays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Wednesday, April 22 at Mehlville High School, 3200 Lemay Ferry Road, and six other locations around the district.

Grab-and-go meals are available for any child 18 and under living in the Mehlville School District, including children who attend parochial or private schools who live within district boundaries. Students do not have to qualify for free and reduced lunch to receive a meal.

Last week, the district served more than 3,000 meals to students.

Meals are curbside pickup. Families are asked to remain in their cars. Staff members will deliver a sack lunch and breakfast to the vehicle for each student present. A student must be present to receive a meal.

In addition, school buses will be used to deliver meals to six additional locations. Meals can be picked up from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • Jefferson Townhomes, 333 Tuckahoe Drive.
  • Lemay Manor I and Lemay Manor II, 3950 Adworth Drive.
