To the editor:
As a Crestwood resident since 1980, I am appalled at the idea of outsourcing our Police Department to St. Louis County.
Citizens are aware that Mayor Gregg Roby has loaded the budget with items to benefit his actions. Just as an individual runs a household on a budget, cutting back on fun things during hard times, so should the city.
The parks and recreation budget encompasses many fun items. For example, concerts in the park, new paving for tennis courts, classes, et cetera.
We have lost our retail, but stayed in Crestwood because we have an outstanding Police Department, great Fire Department and schools.
Perhaps it is time to consider outsourcing City Hall.
