Paying tribute to our veterans

Kathy Ojile of Arnold presses this paper to a spot on the Wall, the American Veterans Traveling Tribute, where a loved one’s name appears and uses a pencil to transfer the name to the paper. The Wall was on display from Oct. 14 through Sunday at the Fox High School athletic complex in Arnold. Ojile made the transfer just before the arrival of Gov. Jay Nixon, who spoke during opening ceremonies on Oct. 14. The tribute included a 380-foot-long replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., with the names of all 58,000 Americans killed in Vietnam.
