To the editor:

Tragically, our family lost our beloved Cameron on Oct. 11.

For the 16 years, two months and five days that he was with us, we were blessed, as were so many others who knew him. He was kind, loving, caring and compassionate to all.

As our pastor said, he left a large footprint here on earth. We learned much more about him from his teachers, old and new friends adding many more memories and heartfelt stories. Thank you, Pastor Dennis Kastens, Associate Pastor Jon Furgeson, our church family at Peace Lutheran and everyone else for your prayers, hugs and shoulders to cry on. Your support has been a big help getting us through this mournful time.

A special thank you goes to the staff at Oakville High for going above and beyond to help retrieve a lost audio/video school project of Cameron’s so we have a recording of his voice. God bless you all.

A bench in memory of Cameron will be placed next to the lake in Bee Tree Park. Once installed, we plan to have a fun dedication gathering in spring or early summer.
