Tournament of Roses Parade President Jeffrey L. Throop will be at Lindbergh High School this week to meet the marching band and community members.

He will attend the “Pasadena Nights” event set from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Flyers Stadium, 5000 S. Lindbergh Blvd. The free event is open to the public.

Lindbergh’s Spirit of St. Louis Marching Band has been selected as one of 22 bands worldwide to participate in the 122nd Tournament of Roses Parade, which will viewed by millions of spectators from around the world and broadcast in more than 200 international territories and countries.

Among the festivities planned for Friday’s “Pasadena Nights” are:

• Sample food tasting booths from the area’s favorite restaurants.

• Hot air balloon rides.

• St. Louis Rams cheerleaders and celebrity guests.

• A special field show by the Spirit of St. Louis Marching Band.
