Parent groups continue support of Lindbergh

Lindbergh Schools parent groups continued to show significant support for student programs in 2012-2013 by volunteering, serving on committees and raising funds to support schools.

In fact, parent groups gave $452,134 to schools during 2012-2013, and have provided more than $3 million since 2005-2006, according to a district news release.

A report of parent organization contributions recently was presented to the Board of Education, showing significant funding for student scholarships, teacher and program grants, student recognitions and awards, equipment and uniforms for extracurricular groups and school parties and events.

“Our parent organizations’ donations and volunteer efforts over the years have been very important in providing the best possible education and programming to the students of Lindbergh Schools,” board President Kathleen Kienstra stated in the release. “We appreciate everything our parents do to support students year after year.”
