To the editor:
This is an open letter to both St. Louis County Assessor Jake Zimmerman and County Council Presiding Officer Ernie Trakas.
I went to the informal assessment appeal conferences June 6, and I took my photos and bids. The one person displayed total indifference. The other person said what I brought did not mean anything — nothing would change.
At the town hall in Affton June 29, I asked Zimmerman about the unprofessional behavior. Your reply? They had a bad day. No, Z-man, I had the bad day.
Now to my Councilman Ernie Trakas. I asked for an audit of Zimmerman’s office. Your reply was, “We do not have the money.” Ernie, find the money. If any of you feel the same, call Ernie at 314-615-5442 to let him know.
