About a year ago, I complained that de-spite the huge amount of money stuffed in the city of Green Park’s coffers, that stretch of Green Park Road starting at the railroad overpass to the bridge over Gravois Creek had not been touched.
Well, guess what? Last week, the Call reports that the city’s net position has increased by $742,097 in fiscal 2013. But as a driver who drives the road every day, I have not seen one sign of improvement.
As a matter of fact, after driving that road for a year, my car probably needs new shocks, springs and an alignment.
So I’m pleading, begging, if you will, for our fair — and wealthy — city to turn loose of a few dollars and patch up that section of what is otherwise a great road.
