November 15, 1921 - January 2, 2022

Burial Date: March 26, 2022

Roy E. Kuehn, 100, died Jan. 2 at home in Arnold.

He was born Nov. 15, 1921, in St. Louis to Edwin A. and Emma (Boettcher) Kuehn ,and was married to Grace Catherine Kuehn (nee Cook) Aug. 9, 1945.

Roy started as a blueprint boy but became a design engineer for Alcoa Aluminum and Sverdrup and Parcel. He loved to play tennis, do ceramics, sing, and live in the country. He and Grace Kuehn were owners of Kiln Joys Ceramic and Deja Vu Dolls and had a shop near the Bevo Mill in St. Louis. Roy and Grace lived in South County for 30 years and in Salem, Missouri for 30 years. He and Grace were married for 76 years. Roy sang all the time and had a love for music. Roy was amazed he lived to be 100. He never thought he would make it to that age. Even at that age he would push Grace on his rollator to her chair to eat. He and Grace will be dearly missed.
