David M. Burns

David Michael Burns, 40, died peacefully Jan. 19 in Chicago, Ill., from complications of open-heart surgery.

Mr. Burns was born Nov. 11, 1977, the beloved son of David and Nancy Burns, who survive. He was the beloved brother of his sisters: Laura Burns (Frank Romano) of Webster Groves, Sharon Choksi (Neelan) of Austin, Tex., and Diane Burns (Hector Linares) of St. Charles. He was a dear uncle to nieces Grace Gericke and Maya Choksi, and nephews Reid and Clark Gericke and Jaiden Choksi; and was a dear nephew and friend to many, including 18 cousins.

Mr. Burns grew up in Mehlville and attended Mehlville schools. He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in architecture and lived and worked as an architect in Chicago.

A celebration of life event was held Jan. 28 at Triumph Grill in St .Louis.
