To the editor:
I was in local hardware and picked a battery for my father-in-law’s key fob.
Reached for my wallet — oh boy, left it at home.
My frustration must have been spotted easily, as a couple came to me and asked if they could help. They insisted and paid for the battery.
Turns out after I kept asking them how I could thank them, no way.
I finally found out he is a St. Louis County officer, and he could have given me a ticket for driving without a license.
They were a blessing for their kindness.
