Oakville resident Marie Rohrich will celebrate her 100th birthday on Monday, Feb. 9.

A celebration in honor of Mrs. Rohrich’s 100th birthday will take place Saturday, Feb. 7, at Oakville Elks Lodge 2726, 2726 Oakville Elks Lane. The gala is scheduled from 2 to 6 p.m.

Mrs. Rohrich was an avid golfer until she was 92 years old, according to a news release. She was born of Czechoslovakian immigrants and has been a lifelong resident of Affton and south county, the release stated.

Mrs. Rohrich is retired from the Berland Shoe Co.

She was married to the late Peter Rohrich, an optometrist.
