To the editor:
The weather was nice, so my husband and I went for a walk on the Cliff Cave Trail on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. When we got back to the car, I realized I lost my driver’s license while walking on the trail.
It was dusk, but we retraced our steps on the trail and unfortunately still couldn’t find it. I felt bad when we got back to our car after dark and a police officer was waiting for us before locking the gate to the parking lot.
We went home expecting to stand in a long line to get my driver’s license replaced after Thanksgiving. What a pleasant surprise to find that someone had found my driver’s license and delivered it to our front door.
I just wanted to say thanks to whoever returned my driver’s license and to the police officer who waited for our return before locking the gate.
