Michael P. Rother, of Oakville, has joined Murphy Co. to oversee the firm’s heavy industrial business sales. Rother joined Murphy from Phillips, Getschow Co., of Oconto Falls, Wis.
He has worked on a number of heavy industrial projects for major corporations in the St. Louis metropolitan area, including Big River Zinc Corp., Anheuser-Busch, AmerenUE, National Steel Corp., Solutia, Clark Oil, Shell Oil and Conoco/Phillips Wood River Refinery. He also has served such national accounts as BP Oil Co., Coastal Oil Co., Amoco Oil, Clark Oil, GE Plastics, Westlake Monomers, Mobil Oil and Pennzoil.
Rother received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Mo.
