Michael Thurau, an Oakville Senior High School graduate, recently was inducted into the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Chapter of the Golden Key International Honor Society.
The Golden Key International Honor Society recognizes students for their academia, leadership and service and accepts students in the top 15 percent of their class.
SIUE’s Golden Key Honor Society has been active since 2002.
Thurau is a senior at SIUE and joins more than 1,000 SIUE students who have earned this recognition.
