The Oakville Elks are hosting a fundraiser for Danielle Dorlac’s battle with multiple sclerosis, a neurological disease in which the immune system eats away at nerves’ protective covering.

The event is set for 6 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Oakville Elks Lodge, 2726 Oakville Elks Lane, 63129.

The fundraiser will feature dinner, dancing, a DJ and a silent auction. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance by contacting Theresa Dorshorst by email at  tdorshorst79@gmail.com.

Dorlac is a wife and mother who was recently diagnosed with primary-progressive multiple sclerosis.
