Oakville brothers earn rank of Eagle Scout

Boy Scouts Michael Mitchell and Kevin Mitchell of Oakville recently were presented the rank of Eagle Scout during a Court of Honor at Queen of All Saints Church.

The brothers belong to Troop 661, which is sponsored by Point Elementary School.

Michael earned 38 merit badges, including the Ad Altare Dei Catholic Religious Medal and was elected to the Order of the Arrow. His Eagle project consisted of constructing raised garden beds for the Garden Club at Trautwein Elementary School.

Michael attended three summer camps at S-F Scout Ranch, participated in National Youth Leadership Training, West Virginia white-water rafting, Florida National High Adventure Sea Base and Space Camp.

Kevin earned 42 merit badges, including the Ad Altare Dei Catholic Religious Medal and was elected to the Order of the Arrow. His Eagle project consisted of constructing dog houses for the Humane Society of Missouri.

Kevin attended four summer camps at S-F Scout Ranch, participated in National Youth Leadership Training — Pack and Paddle — West Virginia white-water rafting, Horse Camp and Aviation Challenge.
