Oakville High School senior Michael Chenot, a member of Boy Scout Troop 166, recently was awarded his Eagle Scout badge and certificate during a ceremony at Faith Lutheran Church.

Roughly 100 family members, friends and fellow Scouts attended the ceremony. Michael’s Eagle Scout project was the construction of two utility carts that benefited the Oakville Middle School Band program, in which he was a three-year member.

Michael plays bass clarinet in the Oakville High School Marching Band. He plans to attend Ranken Technical College next fall to study information technology.
