To the editor:
In the June 3 edition of the Call, there appeared a photo of Scott Winters of Grand Rapids, Mich., and his dog Scooby.
Scott is quoted as saying he was searching for “geodes.” Maybe that’s what they call them in Grand Rapids, but here in Green Park, a man walking his dog in the park — or most likely on my lawn — we call them something else. Many is the time while cutting my lawn I have run over those “geodes.”
Trust me, there’s nothing worse than running over one of those “geodes,” unless of course, it’s running over a pile of them with a rotary mower at full throttle.
Well, I suppose it would be worse if you were wearing a pair of white Reeboks.
