No students were injured when a car pulled out in front of a Special School District bus in south county Tuesday, officials said.
About 2:54 p.m. Tuesday, a car pulling out of Suntrup Nissan at 6000 S. Lindbergh Blvd. turned onto Lindbergh and cut off the full-size SSD bus, which was carrying two students home from school.
The bus was unable to avoid hitting the car, police said.
“The car pulled out of the car dealership parking lot right in front of the bus, and the bus was unable to stop,” SSD Chief Communications Officer Nancy Ide said. “The bus driver had the right of way and was not cited.”
No one was injured in the collision, police spokesman Officer Benjamin Granda said.
Officers from the Affton Southwest Precinct of the St. Louis County Police Department responded to the scene, along with fire trucks from the Mehlville Fire Protection District.
The crash happened just around the corner from the MFPD headquarters on Mueller Road in Green Park.
