A broken water main forced the closure this morning — Wednesday, July 28 — of all lanes of Laclede Station Road between Heege and Fernbrook Drive in south county.

Missouri American Water personnel were at the scene by 10:30 a.m. today, according to a news release. However, a time estimate on repairs was not immediately available. The road – which carries 21,000 vehicles a day – will remain closed until further notice, the release stated.

Motorists may use Watson Road to General Grant or Rock Hill Road to Valcour or New Hampshire as alternate routes.
