Nerinx Hall senior will attend West Point

Nicole Sarah Morlock recently was awarded presidential nominations to the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy.

She received early full appointments to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Merchant Marine Academy and U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Morlock, a senior at Nerinx Hall High School, has a 4.0 grade-point average. She holds various leadership positions, including president of the Model United Nations, president of the Speech and Debate team, captain of the varsity Track and Field team and captain of varsity Cross Country team.

In addition, Morlock completed summer seminars last year at the U.S. Naval Academy and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

She has accepted her early appointment to the U.S. Military Academy and will run NCAA Division I Track and Field at West Point. Morlock will major in prelaw with a minor in aeronautical engineering.

She is the daughter of David and Janice Morlock of south county. He is a retired lieutenant colonel.
