The Nazareth Living Center in Oakville recently opened a gift shop and ice cream parlor that sells hand-dipped ice cream and snacks, as well as many special gifts made by hand by Nazareth volunteers.

Over 100 volunteers, both sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and lay members of the community, staff the gift shop and sew and craft items for sale there. All of the gifts sold are lovingly hand made by Nazareth volunteers, who crochet, knit and quilt baby items, blankets and towels.

Both residents and staff alike are enjoying this new addition to Nazareth Living Center.

The new ice cream parlor and gift shop are part of an ongoing renovation of Nazareth’s skilled nursing area, where a new therapy gym and private rooms also have been added.
