Larry and Ann Nava celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 1 with family and friends.
Mr. Nava and the former Martha Ann Mullins were married Feb. 1, 1964, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in St. Louis by the late Rev. Msgr. Edward Reilly.
While in high school, Mr. Nava was employed by A.E. Schmidt Co. and is still a part-time employee for the store in Ballwin. In 1960, Mr. Nava took a leave of absence to enlist in the Air Force and was stationed in Istanbul, Turkey, where he met his wife at the USO.
Mr. Nava serves as an ordained deacon for St. John Catholic Church in Imperial.
Mrs. Nava is the office administrator at St. Thomas Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Sunset Hills.
They are the parents of three: Janet (Larry) Bandera of Bradenton, Fla.; Lori (Roy) Goebel of House Springs; and Jerry (Christine Muelberg) Nava of De Soto.
The couple have four grandchildren.
